This project has been established to support an e-learning and accessibility seminar being organised through the Teachers' Refresher Course Committee (TRCC), which is a national provider of professional development for teachers from all sectors of the education sector. The TRCC seminar participants will gain an overview of the issues associated with accessibility in online education and learn about strategies that can be employed to overcome accessibility problems. The e-Learning Accessibility project is intended to start and support a dialog about accessibility challenges for e-learners, and what educational professionals can do to mitigate barriers to learning. Although we will start by supporting the TRCC seminar, it is hoped that the project will continue as a resource for practitioners.
