Distributed Textual Discourse (DTD) represents a new generation of online collaboration tools. It supports the creation of hypertextual conversations right on a web page, and can be used to enhance the collaborative features of existing tools such as blogs and wikis. DTD is a peer-to-peer online discourse management system, allowing participants to collaborate without the use of software running on centralized servers. It also features social filtering mechanisms, such as peer review and membership-based filtering.
