The aim of this project is to develop a distributed leadership framework, professional development resources and activities for presentation at the FLLinZ final workshop in Wellington on 26th June 2007 and subsequent publication as part of the FLLinNZ Compendium. The framework will be based on a partial sector analysis designed to identify current strengths and challenges that impact on elearning capacity development. The experience of FLLinNZ participants in their current working environments will inform the process and provide experience based cases. For the participants, the project offers an opportunity for further leadership development and support within the context of their own professional practice. The prospect of engaging with a community of practice for elearning leadership capacity development extends beyond the timeframe of this project and support may be available from participating institutions. Two key concepts inform the work of the project, capacity development and distributed leadership.
