Well, what I can say. Northland Polytech (NP) is on a
roll. Their implementation plan has been developed and things
are starting to happen. Stanley Frielick (the Flexible
Learning Managing Director) has attended a Moodle/Server training
course and is becoming quite the pro. NP's next steps will
be to develop materials for both staff and students to learn about
Northnet (NP's Moodle).
Bay of Plenty Poly (BoPP) have had their Needs Analysis
done and are in the midst of developing their implementation
plan. Amy Wilson (eLearning Coordinator) has been working
overtime in trying to get this project off the ground. Full
marks for effort.
Big pat on the backs for Stanley, Amy and Terry (Project
Manager) who are working tirelessly to ensure that these
projects will be a success.
Oh, and a little pat for me too (why not?!?).
And how could I forget the minor projects - all 17 institutions
(minus NP and BoPP - can't be greedy) were approved for their
piece of the eCapability pie. Each institution was allotted
,500 to increase their eLearning capability in some manner or
fashion. eFest will busting at the seams this year! It
was great that everyone applied and is keen on improving their
eCapability. Speaking of eFest, the project has helped
sponsor Mark Prensky, one of the main speakers this
year. Bring on the games!
