Certificate?

up of unit standards, which are tasks aimed at specific knowledge
or skills. It is
recognised by a government organisation, such as NZQA and are
recognised New Zealand wide, and sometimes
world-wide.

different levels – beginning at Level 1 and go up to Level 8

Standard?

skill that is required for a particular aspect of a
job. A unit standard
earns a certain number of points or credits that go towards a
National Certificate.
They can be assessed on the job, in a classroom situation, or
both. Unit standards
may fit into many different National Certificates and can be
credited to all of these. Unit standards have been
developed by industry experts so they deal with the actual skills
you need at work.
